SORRY, NO RESULT

2-channel-video installation, 2025

The two-channel video installation Sorry, No Result examines the political transformation of language and its impact on social realities. Following Donald J. Trump’s return to office in January 2025, various media outlets reported systematic changes to US government websites. Numerous terms and passages were removed or replaced, particularly in areas relating to diversity, discrimination, gender diversity, healthcare, and climate change.

These linguistic changes are not merely administrative but can be understood as expressions of a political stance: a binary understanding of gender, the downplaying of discrimination and right-wing extremism, and the denial of human-caused climate change.

The installation consists of two videos facing each other. The first channel projects around 250 terms, one by one, that were removed from official government websites. The second displays selected comments from social media posts on a monitor. Some users express support, while others voice criticism, describe a climate of fear under the Trump administration, and provide context for individual terms.
