IM DICKICHT NECKEN
Site-specific light installation, Berlin-Gropiusstadt, 2013
Three temporary illuminated LED text installations were mounted on a multi-storey car park in Berlin-Gropiusstadt. Through language and light, Sven Bergelt seeks to challenge perceptions of the car park as a dark and threatening space and open up new possibilities for its appropriation. The illuminated texts establish linguistic connections between places and actions while responding to the specific spatial and social context of Gropiusstadt.
In cooperation with the project Gropiusstadt – wie gewohnt? by Friederike Bauer and Stephanie Hausdorf and the Akademie einer neuen Gropiusstadt.
